Applicability of CCPA to TriPlus Services
TriPlus Services is a third-party administrator for long-term care insurance products for insurance carriers and insurance guaranty associations (“TriPlus Service Clients”). TriPlus Services is a service provider (as defined by the CCPA). TriPlus Service Clients provide your information to us in order for TriPlus Services to administer the insurance policy, including, but not limited to: policy administration and claim processing.
Any information requested and received is used as directed by the Clients of TriPlus Services,, as required by contractual agreements with those clients and as permitted by the CCPA and other applicable laws.
Modification and Deletion Request Rights
You have the right to request that TriPlus Services modify or delete any of your Personal Information that we have collected or maintained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request (see Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights), we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your Personal Information from our records, unless an exception applies.
We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service provider(s) to:
- Complete the transaction for which we collected the Personal Information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
- Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.

How to request:
Only a verifiable request related to your Personal Information will be processed. In order to process information requested under CCPA (no more than twice in a 12-month period), you or your authorized representative must:
- Provide sufficient information (first name, last name and address) that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected Personal Information or that our are an Authorized Agent of that individual. Before TriPlus Services will complete your request to exercise your rights under the CCPA, we will verify that the request came from you by validating your first name, last name and address.
- Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to understand, evaluate, and respond to it appropriately.
We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.
Response timing:
We will make every reasonable effort to respond to a verifiable CCPA consumer request within forty-five (45) days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 45 additional days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
